Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 26, 2026

BRΛYK's mission is to build infrastructure that connects every student to real opportunity — regardless of who they are or where they start. That commitment to access extends to this website. We believe joinbrayk.com should be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our commitment

BRΛYK Group LLC and BRΛYK Foundation Inc are committed to conforming to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

What we're doing

Semantic HTML
We use semantic elements so screen readers can navigate the site effectively.
Color contrast
Sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds meeting WCAG AA. Our primary palette has been tested for contrast compliance.
Alt text for images
All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked to be ignored by assistive technology.
Keyboard navigation
The site is navigable by keyboard alone. All interactive elements are focusable and operable without a mouse.
Form accessibility
All form fields have labels. Required fields are clearly indicated. Error messages describe what needs correction.
Responsive design
The site works across screen sizes and devices without loss of functionality.

Known limitations

We are actively working on:

  • Ensuring all interactive components — including pill selectors and tabbed interfaces — are fully keyboard and screen reader accessible
  • Providing text alternatives for any future video or audio content
  • Improving focus indicators across all interactive elements
  • Completing a formal accessibility audit as the site grows

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time effort.

Technical specifications

Technologies relied on: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

Tested with: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Formal assistive technology testing is planned as the site matures.
