This Privacy Policy describes how BRΛYK Group LLC and BRΛYK Foundation Inc (collectively, “BRΛYK,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collect, use, and protect information from visitors to joinbrayk.com and anyone who submits information through our forms. We take your privacy seriously — particularly given that our mission involves working with K-12 students and families.

1. Who We Are

BRΛYK Group LLC is a for-profit limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia. BRΛYK Foundation Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Both entities operate under the BRΛYK brand and share joinbrayk.com. References to “BRΛYK” apply to both unless otherwise specified.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Name and email address
  • Organization, title, or role
  • School name, district name, and geographic location
  • Grade level (for students submitting district requests)
  • LinkedIn profile URL (for advisory board applicants)
  • Any information included in open-text message fields
  • Selections from multiple-choice or checkbox fields

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address and general geographic location
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website or source
  • Device type and operating system

Information we do not collect: payment information directly, SSNs, government-issued ID, or sensitive health information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to partnership inquiries, advocacy sign-ups, and district requests
  • Evaluate advisory board interest submissions
  • Track community interest in BRΛYK by school district to inform outreach priorities
  • Send updates about BRΛYK's progress in your area (only if opted in)
  • Process and acknowledge donations to BRΛYK Foundation Inc
  • Improve the website and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for purposes unrelated to BRΛYK's mission.

4. Children's Privacy

Important — students under 18

Our website is primarily intended for adults. However, students (including those under 18) may submit district request forms at /request-brayk. We collect only the minimum information necessary: name, email, school, district, city/state, and grade level. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is necessary to process their request, and we do not use student information for any purpose other than tracking community interest by district. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information to us, please contact hello@joinbrayk.com to request deletion.

Student participation in BRΛYK programs is governed by agreements between BRΛYK and participating school districts, which include appropriate parental consent processes.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share with:

  • Service providers — Formspree (form processing) and Netlify (website hosting), under appropriate data processing agreements
  • Legal authorities — if required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • Successors — in event of merger/acquisition, subject to the same privacy commitments

BRΛYK Group LLC and BRΛYK Foundation Inc may share information with each other as necessary to carry out the BRΛYK mission.

6. Data Retention

Form submission data is retained as long as relevant to outreach and partnership activities. District request submissions: up to 3 years or until a district partnership is established. Advisory board and advocate submissions: up to 2 years. Data deletion is available on request.

7. Cookies and Tracking

This site may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Users can configure their browsers to reject cookies. We do not currently use a cookie consent management system — this policy will be updated if one is implemented.

8. Third-Party Services

BRΛYK is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites linked from joinbrayk.com.

9. Your Rights

  • Access personal information we hold
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion
  • Withdraw consent for communications
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is transmitted securely through Formspree. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

Updates will refresh the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for 30 days. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
